In the last 3.75 years, we've truly made some unforgettable memories. We got a dog, had some fabulous parties, developed new hobbies, had a baby(!!!) and so much more.
Although we originally planned to stay a few years longer, we just couldn't pass up the opportunity to up-size in this crazy economy we're living in right now. It's bittersweet having left our first home that we just finished renovating exactly to our liking. Luckily, Dad's sweat equity really paid off in the end!
I want to remember it forever. I'm thankful to have these pro pics that make it look so clean and fabulous. It totally looked like this every day. (NOT).
So now, we move on to our search for house #2. We've been looking for a few weeks now and are definitely trying to be a lot more picky. Location is key, as is lot size and layout. We'd love to have a big enough backyard for a pool if one doesn't already exist. A formal dining room is a must. A 3-car garage would be nice (for Ian to brew in)..... also nice would be a laundry room (especially if it's upstairs with the bedrooms). Other things factoring in are ranch style layouts vs 2-story, kitchen size, and master bath size. We aren't ruling out fixers, but something newer is preferred. My parents are kind enough to have us stay with them while we continue on our search for the perfect home. Here's to hoping it doesn't take too long!
